SOUTHERN CROSS UNIVERSITY
Southern Cross University (SCU) operates three English Language Centres in Australia at the Gold Coast, Coffs Harbour and Lismore which are based on the east coast of Australia. Each of these Language Centres is located on SCU campuses, and English Language Centre (ELC) students have access to all University facilities at each location, and students can fully participate in University life.
Each ELC provides English language courses for students wishing to improve their skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. General English courses are provided for individuals, Study Tour Groups and those on Working Holidays. Levels are available at elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate and upper-intermediate. General English is also good preparation for English for Academic Purposes.
The English for Academic Purposes course is specially designed as a pathway program for students who wish to progress to SCU undergraduate and postgraduate course which are offered in the following study areas:
Study Tours can be specifically designed for the needs of particular groups, and can be taught and assessed so that English study in Australia is given credit as an integral part of students’ courses at their home university.
