NSW - ARMIDALE
Armidale is set in the heart of the New England Tablelands, midway between Sydney and Brisbane on the New England Highway.
Prior to white settlement, the Anaiwan Aboriginal people occupied the Armidale district. The history of the Anaiwan tribe is showcased at the Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place in Armidale.
Armidale is a diverse community, with a cosmopolitan atmosphere. There are markets, galleries and great sporting facilities to enjoy.
As well, Armidale is surrounded by natural wonders and beautiful scenery: Oxley Wild Rivers, New England and Cathedral Rock National Parks are located within 1 hours drive of the city so you can enjoy bushwalking, swimming, fishing and bird watching.
