Originating in 1870, the University of Ballarat is the third oldest educational institution in Australia. It has a long and established history for developing industry linkages and for preparing graduates for employment around the world.

English and Academic Preparation (EAP)
Our English and Academic Preparation (EAP) program consists of two courses, EAP Level 1 (20 weeks) and EAP Level 2 (10 weeks). These courses provide pathways for entry into Higher Education degree courses at the University of Ballarat, by enhancing English language and academic preparation. The comprehensive preparation for academic study is underscored by a range of key learning areas that focus on enhancing the students' academic skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. A unique feature of this EAP program is the 'in-course' practicum unit which provides students with opportunities to practically apply their academic skills in relevant higher education mainstream lectures and tutorials. Students also benefit from studies in Australian culture and customs specifically designed to enhance the cultural adjustment phase.
